Yet 2 Goals At NUS

I'll make this short..
Having soccer at NUS yesterday..

score 2 goals.

1st goal: benny sent in a through past to me . i first time drag the ball with my right leg past the defenders and shot with my left leg.

2nd goal: Won the race with a defender while chasing together with the ball, me running towards goal while he, runnin towards the sideline. got past him and fire a shot with my right leg and into goal.

Overall: Not really have a great game, don't really enjoy myself yesterday as the opponents are too weak. The opponent in which i score my first goal are not bad, but the team with the second goal, it's really painful to play with them.

Heartbroken

Damn... I'm really heart broken. Milan crashes out. The cloud on Shevchenko's face pains me. i don't want to talk about it no more.

To make things up, Naruto's new figurine series is out. Bought it first hand. Really glad it has Garaa and Temari in it. I'm going to get myself another transparent container to display them later straight after work.

Web Hosting Stuff Reaches Number 1 at MSN

Isn't this cool? You go to msn.com and type in the word "web hosting". No, you don't even need the quotes. What's the number one list? Web Hosting Stuff.

Heehee.. I'm the webmaster of Web Hosting Stuff and is ranked number one for web hosting in MSN and in the top 20 for google and yahoo..

Haha... very hao lian.. can boast around liao

However, had to owe most of the search engine optimization to my boss though. He's the mastermind behind it.

Goal Of The Year

I probably scored my goal of the year on yesterday's Soccer.

Went to NUS again for soccer at the small court with the goal post. Though had scored only one goal that whole day, but it was enough to make up for it.

Pah Sian sent a log pump up from the defense to the opponent court. I was facing the sideline and with my back facing the keeper. Was at a position between the half court line and penalty box. Before the ball ever reach the ground for the first time, I jump for it and sent a sepak-takraw like shot with my left foot to send the ball over the keeper and right into the goal just before the bar. The advancing keeper was given no chances and the shot flew over his reach with power and precision. The shot was a instep volley shot from my right foot to the right side. That was probably my goal of the year. I couldn't love it more. Playing striker the last few weeks helps in bringing back my striker instinct which I lost after playing defence for a long time. That shot was pure instinct. My body just moved on its own. After I saw the ball went into the goal, I was like "Did I just do that?". My brain has totally no record of me deciding to perform that shot. Love it. Have an excellent day all because of that goal.

Poems Dropped

Ok... now it's nearly 4.30 am and I'm turning in. But before that, the reason I stay up so late is that i'm revamping my poems site. You wouldn't see any great differents in the design but I'm actually cleaning up my html codes to make the pages more spider friendly. Nevertheless, it's half way done and I shall continue tomorrow.

Most importantly, after reading through all of my poems just now, I have decided to dropped some of my poems and most of the poems dropped are those that were written in the early stages. So after the dropping, the number of poems u can find has declined from 49 to 26. So some of the poems may not be seen aymore and will disappear forever. Anyway, that's to keep only the quality poems. Anyway, I'm still updating the site so do check out more often.

Those Were The Days

Ok. It's finally up. My latest poem. Anyway, it's not call "Something We Once Had" anymore. I renamed it to "Those Were The Days". It's actually completed on 18th May 2005. You can find it at my poems homepage.

The theme this time focuses mainly on friendship. Inspired by my 2E4 gang and scout platoon gang. Cheers!

Soccer NUS: 4 Goals

I'm going to start counting my goals from today onwards...

Today's soccer at NUS was a good one. Though I'm not very satisfied with my performance but I guess scoring 4 goals make up for it. Today's big news! Henry got a blizzard injuries with the toe out of moving the goal post... Got his toe with a bleed even before the match started. He's probably going to be out of action for some time.

Anyway, back to the goals..

1st goal: Was in an offside position (though we playing no offside rule) and left unmarked. Benny then sent a near through pass for me to allow me to make a simple tap-in past the keeper with right foot. Not the classy type of goal but was at the right place and right time.

2nd goal: A high ball was sent to the opponent's defence and the last man somehow, allowing the ball to bounce over him. Seized the chance and sneak behind the last man to shoot first-time once the ball reach the ground again. The keeper managed to advanced right in front of me but the shot went in between the advancing keeper's legs.

3rd goal: A high ball up and I was one on one with the keeper. Sent a side right foot volley once the bouncing ball reach the ground first time and the grounder volley went past the keeper.

4th goal: Was open and simply dribbled past the keeper and kicked the ball into the net with my left foot.

Yo..., Henry. If you free, can write down your goals in your blog also...

Something We Once Had

Ok... in case you are wondering, that's the title for my new poem, "Something We Once Had". ...though I have not finish writing it yet and probably the only person that would read it when it's done would be Jeffrey. Haha... I really appreciate it though... Thanks. Though the whole purpose behind all the poems is that I can understand it and remember what is happening in my life in a "only I can encode" way. But nevertheless, still thanks.

Back to the poem. It's about 80% to 85% done now... and the title should be either "Something We Once Had" or "Those Were The Days".. I haven't decide yet. I put in a lot of effort into this piece this time, probably because it's only the second poem I have try writing after a 2 years break... 47 poems before the 2 years, really regreted a lot for the stop...

Anyway, the theme of this poem is about friendship. Pure friendship. It says about my 2E4 friends and my scout platoon friends.... All the memories etc. etc. I'm trying my best to put all my memories and appreciation into this small little poem but though small, I still hope what I really want to convey will be able to get through... Everybody is fighting hard for their own future, wish everybody the best. You too!

Things I Will Still Do When I'm 50

Ok. I am going to repeat myself!!!!

You will have to agree it's difficult to dislike what you like.. anyway, why the hell would people try to do that? Why would people want to try to dislike the things that they love doing?

So, I will still be doing all the same things when I'm 50:
a) Form an old man soccer team with Henry and company to challenge the youngster
b) Rock 'N' Roll and voluming my hi-fi LOUD at home
c) Writing poems... for my grandchild this time probably
d) Watching anime with my grandson

So, what will happen when I'm doing each of these things:
a) We are going to lose 45-0 and till nobody want to waste their time playing against us
b) I'm deaf by then
c) My grandchild is going to take the paper that contains my poem and draw pictures on it
d) My wife still saying "Please stop watching those childish stuff please".

OR.............
I will be gone and wouldn't be around by then... Life is short(maybe).
So why are we doing things that we don't like now? We love ourselves so let's treat ourselves better....

Stretched My Thigh

I stretched my left thigh during soccer on Sunday evening. I was 1/8 limping then and thought it will be over after a sleep but I'm still limping this very moment now.. still 1/8 limping. I don't really mind the limping though, I'm pretty used to it. Just that I hope I can recover soon enough or else I wouldn't be able to play any more matches during the weekdays...

Yes.. I'm still a soccer addict after all this years... I don't know when that will stop. I can imagine by the time I reached 40 and I'm still playing striker... ok, probably not striker... a full-time defender by then perhaps... You will have to agree it's difficult to dislike what you like.. anyway, why the hell will people do that? So, I will still be doing all the same things when I'm 48... Rock 'N' Roll and voluming my hi-fi LOUD at home, form an old man soccer team with Henry and company to challenge the youngster, writing poems... for my grandchild probably, watching anime with my grandson and my wife still saying "Please stop watching those childish stuff please".

I think people is going to start to get sick of my blog.. It's just about soccer and cheeky angel so far and nothing else... haha.. probably not for those soocer addicts like me and those cheeky angels... eh... yup, life sucks and nothing interesting happens yet (which is good sometimes). Peace.

Anyway, I'm having database lesson later and I'm going to limp all the way to SIM and limp past right in front of my lecturer... Yes. SIM really has a lot of pretty "ladies" there... Guess I will bound to fall down on somebody over there as least once later.

More On "A Cheeky Angel"

Ok. "A Cheeky Angel" is actually an anime. You see, I'm actually pretty into anime right now, most probably due to the reason that it is so easily available via the Bit Torrent and mIRC right now. It's an 50 episode anime in all but most importantly, the plot of this anime is pretty interesting and unique. I had downloaded loads of series onto my hard disk but just couldn't squeeze out the time to watch them all. Anyway, back to "A Cheeky Angel"...

6 episodes down... 44 more to go... I can almost see what is going to happen towards the end... Megumi (the boy who turned into a girl) had a childhood female friend (Miki) since young and Miki is the only one that knows he's a guy. The type of friend which I guess if he had not turn into a female, they would be together by now as a couple... Megumi has been wanting to turn back into a male again and is trying to break the spell, if not, wait for the 10 yrs to be over and let the spell dispersed automatically. That was this guy called Soga who was very good to Megumi....

My prediction: Think Megumi is going to fall in love with Soga soon and although he wanted very much to become a male again, he wouldn't want to as in this way, they will not be able to be together... Anyway, when the ten years arrive, we are going to know what will happen...

A Cheeky Angel

A Cheeky Angel (a.k.a Tenshi Na Konamaiki) was a great show...! Had just watched the first 2 episodes and I'm starting to love it... The Opening and Ending Themes are great, especially the Ending Theme called "Whenever I Think Of You" sung by Decibel. The seiyus did a great performance too... Ok, the seiyu doing the voice for the lead, Megumi Amatsuka, is none other than Megumi Hayashibara. With Megumi Hayashibara, the performance really seems flawless and entertaining. Thumbs Up!

Ok... if you are wondering what type of show "A Cheeky Angel" is, I'll say it falls under the genre of comedy and romance. I'll make a brief introduction. Here goes:

It's a story about a boy who got a mysterious book from a magician when he's still nine years old. A pierrot appeared from the book and told him to make a wish. Megumi made a wish to become a "man among a man" but the pierrot turns him into a woman instead..., and a very pretty one too and this spell will last for 10 years. Haha... Bizarrd enough... That's where the interesting part came, 6 years later when he/she enters the high school now, Megumi is making all the guys falling head over heels in love with him/her. Lots of funny stuff happens.

It's a very interesting plot and it's funny too., very heart warming and sort of makes me relax when I'm watching it..

My Position

Yes.. more soccer news... for those who is uninterested in soccer, well, paiseh, have to bear with me lah. Anyway, I'll be having a field soccer match tomorrow. Come to think of it, the last 2 time I played in a field macth were with the scout platoon and although both matches ended up in victory, I had not really enjoyed myself then.

Tomorrow's match will be against Kenneth's platoon and I have no bloody idea at all about who's going to be in my team tomorrow. All I know is Henry, probably Benny too(Henry's younger brother), Kenneth, Weiquh, Pah Siao and Red Xiong will be playing on the same side as me. Guess I will be in the center midfield role tomorrow.. The last 2 matches, I was playing at the left so it's going to be a big test for me tomorrow with my ability to play on the field.

The positions I played had been really fluctuating throughout the years. I was first a striker when I was with 2e4. Still a striker too when I am in Poly. However, during my army days with scout platoon, I moved down to playing a defender because that's Ah Beng around.. Now, because of the striker cum defender thiny, now I'm in midfield.

Will report about the match tomorrow.

PSV 3 Milan 1

PSV has beaten AC Milan by 3 goals to 1. Yes, that's the second loss for AC Milan throughout this year Champions League Season, the other loss, to Barcelona of course. Nevertheless, due to away goal rules, Milan crawed throught to the final which will be against Liverpool.

For those who have not watch the PSV - Milan match, don't think that Milan lost because they're contented to defend their 2-0 first leg lead and wasn't intenting to go all out to win this match. The truth, PSV was really strong. The way they played really impressed me. That reminds me of the time when Dutch league was at its best during the early 90's when Ajax almost make it to the final of the UEFA every year. For the first time, I have seen Milan being pushed back throughout the whole match. The score might well be a 4-1 or even 5-1 and the Milan goal was really a lucky one, I must say. Nevertheless, all of us have to agree that sometimes luck really is an important factor to winning a match.

I will be looking forward to the finals.

Shevchenko And Crespo

Tonight is going to be a big day. It's a day to decide whether AC Milan, an italian club is going to reach the final of the champions league. Champions League Semi-final: AC Milan vs PSV. Ok, if you have know me long enough, you will know that I am a hardcore Italian fan (that also explains why Italy is in my dream trip list). Milan was leading 2 nil up from the first leg and will have to face PSV in holland today. All the way... Milan, do the Italian Serie A proud!

BTW, Chelsea got knocked out by Liverpool... hahaha... sent Jose and company to cry in the dressing room. Anyway, not really my business as my focus is on the Italian clubs.

Crespo: "Oh... Chelsea's out. That's bad. I'm still thinking of playing against them in the final and score a goal against them."

Shevchenko: "Oh.. is it? What's Chelsea? Edible? An english fruit?"

Ok, Shevchenko is not an ignorant person who does not know what's Chelsea.

Suntec Is A Mouse

Just went to KL for a short shopping trip... The trip is 3 days 2 nights and I'm staying in the Royale Bintan hotel which is situated just besides their main shopping areas. Overall, I would say the whole trip is a so-so as what we did there was almost all shopping. AND what we shopped there can almost all be found back here in Singapore. However, I have to point out their shopping centres are really impressive... They are DAMN gigantic. One of them is the Time Square (directly behind my hotel) . Time Square housed about 10 storeys of shopping and even has a theme park inside it. The other shoppin centre would be the MidValley Mall. It's the largest shopping mall in asia. Don't compare Suntec or any other "mini" shoppin malls from Singapore with it, this MidValley Mall is really big... It's about the size of 4 or 5 Suntec. Damn hugh.

This will be my second trip to KL and I'm not the type who always went oversea so up till now, the countries I have been to will be Malaysia, Taiwan, Hongkong and Brunei (don't ask me why I went Brunei, ask the SAF if you want). So far, besides JB, hadn't been overseas with my family yet due to my parent's work commitment that forbid them to do so. Anyway, will hope to have the chance to go overseas soon. Had been wanting to go back to Taiwan someday and lining up in my "Things to complete before I died" will be a trip to Japan as well as a trip to Italy.

The 3rd Apple

I have finally moved back to blogspot... This is my first post here and I'm eager to write something on it. First of all, I have added links of my friend's blog at the link column for easy access. So if you want me to add your blog or even homepage to the link section, please let me know.

What am i going to write here....? I guess mainly will be about my everyday life if there is anything interesting. Once in a while, I will write some previews about the soccer matches that we played too. Yeah, so that my soccer pals will not get bored to death with my life. I will write some anime reviews too if i had finished watching any. This is for those friends of mine who shared the same hobby with me too. And lastly, probably poems too. Hadn't been writing for 2 years and I'm starting to regret for been not able to continue writing. Ok... and there will be some crappin too like all of the above.

Anyway, hope blogging will be a good way to keep my friends up to date with what is going on around me if we did not have the time to meet up. AND... do hope my friends will keep updating theirs too... so I will be able to still keep up with them even with this race here with time every seconds.
