Kept me sad and thinking.
SMS. It takes probably a second or less for my SMS to reach you. This anime is a story about a couple who is separated because the girl has to go to space and they had to keep in contact with each other through SMS. No idea whether a SMS could be transmitted through space but whatever, here's the story. They are separated and are keeping contact with SMS mail. First, it takes probably the usual one second for the message to reach each other. But as the girl travels deeper and deeper into space. It takes five minutes, one hour, two hour, 24 hour. Eventually it took one light year. In the show, the girl describes how lifeless it is in space. She simply hope she could walk into a conveniece stall with the guy and eat ice cream together(the girl is still 15 years old). However in space, there's no rain falling on your umbrella, no conveniece stall, no smile, no ice cream. She cried. The final mail took 8.7 light years to reach earth.

My thoughts: What is time and what is distance? Can we really guage time? Is it "I am here" 8 years ago or is it "I am here" now?
